It is the best way to express the mastery of a language efficiently comes when you can grip the art of communicating in good English. Your mastery of the language is reflected through the style of your writing. How perfectly you are manifesting your thoughts. There is a slight difference between the mastery of oral English and written English. Oral English can be adopted in any way but it is very hard to master the art of writing English with a lucid flair.

Actually you watch regularly millions of words in some form. It may be e-mails, it may be messages sent from the cell phone, it may be greetings, it may be ‘Twittering’. Whatever it may be if you have no syntactical sense of using the language specially English you can not be regarded as the prolific writer. All that you must know in the very basic period is to learn the syntax of English grammar.

Actually the word ‘syntax’ has come from Greek that means perfect order. In English grammar you have to go through the chapter of syntax to know how there is a certain relation between the words used in a sentence. Again the proper arrangement of how to express the internal meaning clearly is also to be learnt. You have to specify the internal meaning in any way. Here lies the efficacy of learning ‘syntax’.

We can differentiate the use of syntax in two ways, agreement and the government. Agreement is related with particular words, subject and verb, antecedent and the pronoun, noun and adjective. The use of government is noticed in the use of prepositions and verbs. These two have to govern the words in the case, specifically in the objective one.

As you are a new English writer you have to know the use of English syntax. There is another syntax, the Latin one. Though the two are interrelated to some extent you  have to give enough stress on the English syntax.

English syntax is always resting on meaning and the logic of connection between words rather than the form. Then the matter is precisely to place the words in proper form and to brood over the meaning of the words.

For example if you write such a sentence – “The fugitives there the settlers planted” is definitely ambiguous. Fugitives may easily be the subject as you have to follow the regular subject order But again someone may hint at the ‘settlers’ as the subject. If it is done it is sure that that the order is sure to be inverted.

What you have to do first is to follow the logical methods which actually control the use of words in the sentences. If you watch such a case where the grammar and logic do not agree, never hesitate to rewrite the sentence in the fine order so that it can be logical.

Anyway the point that is vital to highlight is that in English language anything is not rigid. The language has enough flexibility so you can enjoy the freedom. But try to avoid the very crucial factor that is never rigid, such as the subject verb agreement.
